Tales of the Ancients

13 they came and 13 they bore,

"Not enough!" they said, then came 13 more.

So on and so forth throughout the ages,

Name by name they added to these pages.

13 left but many remained,

And so the yoke of the gods they obtained.

All was well but then came the greed,

Their demise was forewarned but those few did not heed.

Then the day came, and the 13 neglected.

And so from their lands their creations were rejected.

13 they came, many they fell,

Now there is no water in the well.
